Progress report

The pier and wharf have been completed and makes Caliente Lakeside Resort very accessible by boat or float plane. The owners of the resort have made the efforts to 'go green' and have succeeded in the construction of the pier and wharf.

This is the original aerial view taken after the pilings had been put into Kamloops Lake at Caliente Lakeside Resort and the pier construction began.

Wintertime and pier construction had begun
Winter time meant construction of the pier would wait until spring arrived, with the wharf being built at the builders site.

Wharf sections  installed
Here is the section of the pier before the wharf is connected showing the size of the timbers used.

Overhead shot of the Wharf
This photo shows how large the wharf is.  The section at the bottom of the catwalk is 60' long and the corner has another 50' length.  The width on all these sections is 12' so allows plenty of room to access your boat or plane.

Completed pier and wharf
The work on the wharf has been completed and now offers easy access from the lake to Caliente Lakeside Resort.

The recycled products used in the construction of the pier were from 6x16 bridge decking with 2x6 cedar used on the top.  The pilings are made of steel, the catwalk of aluminum and galvanized railings will all withstand the test of time.
